A construction company’s fleet is usually its largest untapped advertising asset. Pickups, dump trucks, flatbeds and equipment trailers spend the day moving along Route 28, the Dulles Toll Road and the Beltway — through the exact corridors where the next project is being planned. Most of them are unmarked or carry a faded magnet. GInk Wraps and Signs produces construction fleet graphics and site signage from our Reston studio.
In This Region, Branding Is Credibility
Northern Virginia construction runs on two very different sales conversations. In residential remodelling across Vienna, Great Falls and Arlington, a marked truck is what separates a real company from a man with a trailer. On commercial and institutional work — the data-centre build-out through Loudoun, government and contractor facilities, office fit-outs — fleet consistency signals an organised operation before anyone opens a folder.
Property managers, developers and general contractors notice fleet consistency, because it correlates with how a company runs its jobs.
What We Wrap and Letter for Construction Fleets
- Pickup trucks — door lettering, bed-side panels, tailgate graphics
- Dump trucks, flatbeds and material trucks
- Enclosed and equipment trailers — large flat surfaces that stay in the fleet for years
- Cargo vans for finish trades and site supervisors
- Heavy equipment — decals and logo panels for excavators, loaders and skid steers
- Box trucks for supply and delivery
We produce full commercial wraps and partial wraps, lettering and decals. Construction fleets are usually mixed-age and mixed-make, so consistency across vehicles matters more than coverage on any single one.
Site Signage: Months of Exposure Per Project
Construction has an advantage other trades do not: the job lasts. A roofing crew is gone in three days, but a build sits in the same location for months, in front of the same commuter traffic every morning.
That makes site signage unusually cost-effective — corrugated yard signs at residential projects, larger project boards and banners at commercial sites, and directional and parking signage for crews and deliveries. One sign amortised across a six-month build is close to free advertising.
What Belongs on a Construction Vehicle
- Company name, large and legible — readable from across a site or a parking lot
- What you build — general contracting, concrete, framing, remodelling — rather than a list of everything
- Phone number and web address, sized for traffic rather than for a business card
- Class A licence number — if yours needs to appear on the vehicle, we build it into the layout
- Reflective options for trucks working roadside or through winter dark
Materials for Hard-Use Vehicles
We print on 3M and Avery Dennison premium cast vinyl with laminate over every panel — against site debris, mud, and the road salt that coats everything here from December to March.
Where a truck is going to take repeated damage in one area, we will often recommend lettering and replaceable panels over full coverage. Easier and cheaper to refresh than re-wrapping a whole flank.
Everything Else, In-House
- Yard signs and job-site signage
- Business cards and proposal and bid folders
- Carbonless work orders and forms
- Displays and stands plus banners and feather flags for trade and home shows
- Flyers and postcards for residential neighbourhoods
- Office, yard and warehouse signage
Serving Contractors Across Northern Virginia
We work with general contractors and construction firms throughout Reston, Herndon, Sterling, Ashburn, Chantilly, Fairfax, Springfield, Manassas, Leesburg and Arlington. Fleet work is staged in batches so trucks stay on the job.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you brand a mixed fleet consistently?
Yes — this is the most common construction request. We adapt one design system across pickups, dumps, trailers and vans so the proportions change but the brand does not.
Do you do graphics on heavy equipment?
Yes. Excavators, loaders and skid steers take decals and logo panels well on flat painted surfaces. Textured and heavily riveted areas are the limiting factor, and we will show you where graphics will and will not hold.
Are magnets a good option?
They have a place for shared or personal vehicles, but they are a compromise — they fade faster, trap moisture and salt against paint over a winter, and read as temporary. If a truck is permanently in the fleet, lettering costs little more and looks considerably better.
Can graphics be removed when a truck is sold?
Yes. Properly applied vinyl comes off cleanly and protects the paint underneath in the meantime, which generally helps resale rather than hurting it.
